I know there are a lot of glowing reviews for Iolo's System Mechanic. I just want to add that I totally agree with them. I can't think of any cons for this program, only pros. This is the utility program I use year after year. It's better and less expensive. Kudos, Iolo!

Since I started using System Mechanic some 5 years ago, I’ve been able to relax and know that my computers are running at their best. These days with the latest version I don’t even have to remember to do the cleanup regularly because it’s all done in the background. It’s certainly the best value for money tune-up software that I know as well being the most thorough. It’s legal for three computers as well!

I am a long time user of System Mechanic. I'm not sure if V5 was their first release, regardless, I have found that over it's lifetime the software has worked flawlessly and have recently upgraded to V8. Getting what you pay for has always been the 'NEW NORMAL'. With System Mechanic you are definitely getting much more than you are paying for.

I've tried other pc tuneup prgrams but but they dont stackup to System Mechanic. I've been using System Mechanic for a number of years now and couldnt do without it. I run scans 2 or 3 times a week to keep our 3 computers running fast. Just had a problem last weekend our granddaughter came over downloaded music and bam instant turtle net, ran a System Mechanic scan and repair and it was as good as new.

Great software that keeps three computers sweet, while running in the background. Two of the computers I'm running it on are six years old and if I wasn't running it I would have bought new machines by now, so it gives amazing value.

My subscription for System Mechanic had run out so I downloaded and bought another P.C tune up program. What a nightmare!!!! What a waste of money!!!! After I ran the new program it automatically rebooted the computer which is normal but windows wouldn't start again. So I rebooted in saftey mode and removed the tune up program rebooted windows and renewed my subscription for System Mechanic 8. An expensive lesson believe me. Keep up the good work iolo people who are fussy about their computer need you.

I purchased a laptop just over a year ago with the manufacturer's pc tune-up S/W and thought I was getting decent performance. After the subscription expired, I signed up with System Mechanic. Initial scans found numerous problems that were quickly fixed resulting in huge performance improvements, and it's easy to install and run.

Really easy to use since the main tool is in the very middle of the window and you can fix everything with one button click. Plus comes with lots of little tools for those who like to take a more active roll in their pc maitenance. Plus Active care is great for keeping your pc running fast efficiently without having to think about it. My only complaint is the menu is so focused on being easy that it ends up hiding many useful tools and more detail on the problems it fixes would be nice. Overall though its a great value since it comes with 3 lisences( lots of people one more than one computer) and it brings many great utilities together in one place

System Mech8 - came back to an old friend, the
newer OS's are so much more complicated, you
need a better " repair & maintain app " to keep
things running smoothly & fast. A great buy...

Iolo System Mechanic 8.5
After reading a number of positive reports in IT magazines, I purchased V 8.0 and installed it on 3 of my computers.
From the start it was easy to install and set up, and the initial deep system analysis found a number of problems that were resolved quickly.
Regular use and updates has improved the performance of all 3 computers and has kept them free of the clutter that inevitably develops with Windows Operating Systems.
The Automated Tasks and Power Tools carry out essential maintenance, and Reports give you the current status of your computer and a history of recent System Mechanic activity.
I have just purchased an extra 12 month licence to keep my PCs trouble free into the future!

I love this software, it has fixed my old computer, it runs like it used to . My husband was so frustrated with it , we were going to go out and buy a new one. So I got on the website and ran a evaluation . And I was so impressed I ordered it right away. It is so easy and fast . Thank you Iolo for this wonderful software you have saved us a lot of money.!!!!

I fixed my dying computer with System Mechanic. It’s true! My computer got so sluggish and balky I was considering how I was going to come up with the money to buy a new one. While doing some research on how to fix my problem I happened upon System Mechanic by accident and I’m so glad I did. I ran the “deep analysis” and presto my computer ran like its old self. Now a “quick analysis” once a week keeps it and my other two computers purring. That was two years ago and my computer is still running great. It is so reasonably priced that it is worth a try before lugging your computer off for expensive repairs (where the computer guy may charge you to run this very program for you). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

This is the best program I have found for keeping my computers running at peak level. The interface is very easy to work with and the program is very powerful.

Having been involved in IT for a number of years in a variety of capacities, I appreciate good software when I find it. System Mechanic ticks all the boxes as far as memory footprint, installation/uninstallation and bug-free functionality - all of which in my opinion make for good, well-written software.
The Power Tools are a comprehensive and thorough means to solve performance/optimisation problems. The individual tools offer a plethora of options to the habitual tweaker and performance junkie - like me!
For those who have neither the time nor inclination to delve into the myths of the registry and why Windows never quite gets rid of all those temporary files, the Active Care option performs passive analysis and diagnosis of system problems.
I have used the software on a number of PC's since version 6 and have always been impressed by interface, ease of use and performance gain compared to other optimisation or tuning products on the market. My work laptop is looking forward to me finishing a current project so that it can enjoy, the PC equivalent of, a spa treatment from iolo!

If you are the sort of person that cuts to the chase when reading reviews, the crux is:

Great product and unrivalled functionality for the price!

I have been using System Mechanic for many years now, and I have tried many tools that claim to do the same, but none as System Mechanic, it just keeps getting better in time and now all my computers at home have it too... that way I keep everyone happy with the PC.

It's the only program needed that does it all from finding problematic areas on the computer and correcting them to optimizing space for efficient use! It cleans all the registry problems and files that can clutter your computer overtime and slow it down! It is very user friendly and I would highly recommend it!!

An excellent product even my daughter will be using it with some very short tutorial. No more dreaded, hey dear, time to defrag, disk clean etc, just click one button it does it all. I should have bought it sooner. I really like the system health meter that at a glance tells you its time to run the program or not, no guessing with this product.

I am an existing owner of previous version; I have been using System Mechanic for the past three years, I found the products effectives in cleaning my notebook, make it run fast and keep it secure. Because I am happy with this software I decided to upgrade without evaluation requirement, and I am pleased and recommend to others notebook users.

The automatic functionality is very easy and reliable, but may give some surprises. I prefer to manually choose each action I have it take, and it offers this option for every powerful tool.

I always evaluate utility software before buying, and System Mechanic quickly became one of my "must have" programs. It's easy, fast, very effective, and does not "mess up" anything in the process. The latest version is very slick and mindlessly easy.
