I then randomly chose anthoer software from Tucows: "Cute CD DVD BD Burner Express" and had no problem; that software is listed as $10 cheaper to buy (I did not buy... yet) plus it has an optional Test mode before actual burning, plus has percent-competed progresss bar, plus it auto-detected my burners 12x speed-- and most of all i burned the disk-- both its regular files and its boot files. I'm not taking a chance on wasting another sdisc;
I'm uninstalling "Active ISO File Manager 2.0". Btw I have windows 2000, no service packs and windows device listing shows my writer's driver as auto-recognized by windows.
